It’s been about two months since we’ve opened the doors to our SoHo office—on the fifth floor of a walk-up, might I add—and we’ve been living by the mantra, “Work hard, play hard.” Case in point: Fashion Fridays. Fashion Fridays are a mighty casual way to meet the new kids on the block.
A prime location for shopping in New York City, the streets of SoHo are lined with premium stores and boutiques. And then there’s us, an awesome international company who’s ready to make a stylish splash here in the States and among all the fashionable people here in the Big Apple.
So, how do we do that? A party, of course.
Our second Fashion Friday was in May. The first FF was small and intimate: some beers, a couple of pizzas and about 50 people. But this one? Well, there isn’t anything intimate about 300 RSVPs, a DJ, and a photographer.
After a week of planning, there was chatter about Fashion Friday well beyond this neighborhood, and the guest list was at capacity with all of our friends, bloggers and other fashion-minded people who were eager to attend.
Fast forward to Friday, 6 p.m. The music was playing and the drinks were flowing as attendees started to trickle into our office.
The evening turned into night time with the party showing no signs of slowing down. For us STYLIGHTers, it was more than just about having fun, though. We wanted to pass along our excitement about the company and let everyone know exactly who we are and what we’re doing, and we did just that.
At the end of the night, there was just one question left: When’s the next Fashion Friday?
Stay tuned.
