When it comes to charity, at Stylight we’re constantly ambitious to support any kind of good cause.
So, as you all know, November is that time for the gentlemen to shave off their beards and start growing a mo: IT’S MOVEMBER, BABY!
This year, once again, we raised awareness (and $$$) for men’s health. How? Good that you ask. We took action and organised little events to collect donations. Every week of November our office hosted an event organised by our employees – whose goal was to donate some money for the international Movember Foundation.
For the gourmets among the employees, our lovely French and Belgian colleagues organised a coffee afternoon with lots of delicious French biscuits, waffles and tarts, whereas for the more sporty colleagues there was a big ping pong tournament after work and thank to one of our talented graphic designers a big group of us took part to a hand lettering workshop where we learnt how to do unique self-made Christmas cards.
What else? As a fashion e-commerce company there is one thing all of us love to do: shopping! Just for this time we did not buy online but super old school at our very own company flea market – and because there were drinks, live music and karaoke the flea market became a Fleamicet! Last but not least, as Appreciation is one of our core values here at Stylight, we had the opportunity to send little notes together with a muffin to our co-workers just to light up their day a little.
With all of those voluntary events and to everyone who supported us joining we raised almost 1000€ for men’s health!
And what would be Movember without some impressive moustaches? With the men in the company we did a before and after photo shooting to show our moustache growing abilities and proof that a mo can actually look pretty cool! After a company wide voting to determine the best moustache, the winner received a voucher for a professional shave in a Munich barber shop. And who knows, maybe a few moustache are going to stay also after Movember?!
