Coachella, Glastonbury, Burning Man – we’re sure everyone with a social profile has come across at least one of these names on their feed during the sunny season. Festivals are all the rage, and being flooded by line-ups and festival looks on a daily basis, you cannot help but dream of booking a one-way ticket to the Californian desert to join all the fun. We at Stylight had a better idea: when you can’t go where the festival vibes are, why not bring the festival vibes to your doorstep instead?
On July 24th it was time for our legendary Summer Session to return to Munich, this year in true festival style! Not only were the spirits high, the temperatures played their part as well. With 30 degrees and burning sunshine the grounds at Munich’s P1 Club were all set for our versatile crowd to arrive for the must-attend night of the season. Over 1000 guests flooded through the festival gates throughout the night, and they were in for a treat (more than one, actually). Not only did everyone contribute to a memorable night, they also helped us raise over 5000 euros for the Red Nose Day cause – spreading peace, love and fashion left and right!
Our fashionable crowd, including the top-blogger ladies Leonie (OhhCouture.com), Zina (Fashionvibe.net) and Nina (Nina-Suess.com), stood front-row when B.O.X.E.R took the main stage for a special performance, and the dancing didn’t stop all through the night – except maybe to watch the flames as the fire-eater turned the P1 roof into his arena. Decked out in festival gear and surrounded by the right tunes from our line-up including DJs C.M.A., Pneumatix, DJ Petko and DJ Ramon, everything you could wish for at a night-out was granted. Starting at 6PM, no-one was left to tackle the dancefloor on an empty stomach – that much was guaranteed by our variety of food trucks and partner bars. Hearty snacks and hot dogs, cocktails and juices, ice-cream to satisfy that sweet tooth or a last-minute caffeine fix – we had all tastes covered! The ultimate fashion-event experience was completed by little pop-up shopping booths, making every fashionista’s heart beat faster!
In true Stylight-Event spirit (see more images here), the crowd was as fashionable as it can be. Fringe, floppy hats and hippie accessories were spotted in every direction, and it wasn’t long before even the biggest fashion doubters caved and lined up at our flash-tattoo booth. But that’s not the only temporary souvenir our guests were in for: whoever felt inspired by all the festival vibes in the air had the chance to get a full-on hair and beauty touch-up on our grounds. Those who didn’t want to stop at goldy locks and braided bunches topped it off with the ultimate festival-accessory: flower-crowns! They were a huge hit with all the fashionistas – and we’ve got plenty of selfies to prove it!
However, they weren’t the only ones making sure that no-one left the Summer Session empty-handed. Our Stylight goodiebags are infamous by now, but this year we had another goodie up our sleeves: over 730 prices in our tombola waited to be snatched up by their lucky winners, who simply had to tweet or instagram using #STYLIGHTsummer to draw from the lot! Thanks to everyone who helped us spread peace, love and fashion in Munich – and to those who couldn’t be there: the STYLIGHT-Express will roll on, and the next event is just around the corner! To give you a hint: you might want to get your dirndl´s and lederhosen ready!
